The event /First stakeholders meeting is conductedas a continuation of INTERNATIONAL FORUM "BULGARIA AND THE OECD IN THE CONTEXT OF NATIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND THE GREEN TRANSITION", organized by the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the OECD on 7-8 November 2024.
The focus of the event was on 3 specific projects for the region, implemented by SZ REDA and focused on sustainable mobility and energy, including hydrogen.
Проект RuralMED Mobility

The RuralMED project, funded by the Interreg Mediterranean programme, aims to promote sustainable development and mobility in rural areas of the Mediterranean through innovation and cooperation in the field of entrepreneurship and fintech.
Main objectives:
- Creating conditions for economic development in rural communities.
- Support sustainable practices and innovation.
- Improving mobility and access to new opportunities.
RuralMED brings together key partners from across the Mediterranean region to build a strong ecosystem focused on collaboration, knowledge transfer and the implementation of innovative solutions.
Together, we are working towards a more sustainable and inclusive future for rural areas in our region!
We are proud to be part of the innovative Interreg Europe project that focuses on stimulating entrepreneurship and developing fintech ecosystems in the Mediterranean region!
Our mission is to support cross-border cooperation between countries in the region by promoting the adoption of new technologies and innovative business models. The project brings together key stakeholders from different sectors to create sustainable solutions that will strengthen local economies and foster entrepreneurship.
Through this project, we aim to build a better environment for start-ups and SMEs by addressing key challenges related to access to finance, technology and markets.

Project GH2M (Green Hydrogen Mobility Mediterranean)

An initiative focused on promoting sustainable transport through the use of green hydrogen in Mediterranean regions.
Main objectives:
- Development of green hydrogen infrastructureincluding production, storage and distribution.
- Support for hydrogen integration as an alternative fuel in the transport sector, including public and freight transport.
- Promoting innovation and research in the field of hydrogen technology.
- Creating a network of stakeholdersincluding public authorities, private companies and scientific institutions, to strengthen cooperation.
- Reducing the carbon footprint in the transport sector by switching to sustainable energy sources.
The project aims to be a model for sustainable development, supporting environmental transition and economic integration in the region.
Project LIFE21-CET-COALREGIONS-SITRANS

Our mission is to help coal-dependent regions transition to sustainable energy models, supporting a just and efficient energy transition. The project brings together experts from different fields to address energy poverty and stimulate innovation, new jobs and development in local communities.
With the involvement of key stakeholders, we work to create innovative solutions and policies that support decarbonisation and economic transformation. We believe this project will be a step forward towards a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Europe. 💡
