Stara Zagora Regional Economic Development Agency covered the International Standard for Business Advice and Support

Stara Zagora Regional Economic Development Agency covered the International Standard for Business Advice and Support, developed within the project BASIS, with the co-financing of the EC Lifelong Learning Program. SZREDA received its certificate at an international conference to present the Standard, held on October 29, 2009. The conference was attended by specialists and experts from all over Europe, wishing to learn more about the new pan-European initiative to create compatible and consistent standards for those who consult and support small and medium-sized enterprises.

Basis is a new standard for this type of service, which has the ambition for the first time to introduce different quality models and competencies after a pan-European study to identify critical success factors.
It took 2 years of international development and pilot tests to create the Standard. As a result, it is cohesive, practical and easy to implement and use as a framework for successful management of SME support services.
