Trakia University - Edirne, ARIR - Stara Zagora and EDIH Zagore Discussed future projects and initiatives

A7281D83 0F30 4765 B30C CE17EBAE732ETrakia University - Edirne, ARIR - Stara Zagora and EDIH Zagore discussed at a working meeting the possible areas of joint initiatives and projects related to the promotion of research and innovation in support of business and development of clean energy technologies.

The meeting took place on December 9 in the office of ARID-Stara Zagora, which is the main office of the ECIH Zagore. It was attended by the Vice Rector of the Trakia University of Edirne, Prof. Dr. Murat Turkyilmaz, Mr. Emre ATA, R&D Manager of Aspilsan, a leading company in energy storage solutions, and on the Bulgarian side - Dr. Rumyana Grozeva, Executive Director of ARID-Stara Zagora, Mr. Stefan Dimitrov, Executive Director of Neochim Dimitrovgrad and Mr. Mr. Miroslav Dimitrov, Executive Director of Neochim Dimitrovgrad.

Main discussion on the meeting was first joint projects and a study visit to Edirne and Istanbul in the nearest future.

On 14.05 (Tuesday), the Executive Director of the Agency for Regional Economic Development (REDA) - Stara Zagora, Rumyana Grozeva PhD took part as a panelist at the biggest event for innovation in Bulgaria - Webit Festival Europe 2019. The theme of the panel, in which she participated was "The Potential of the Stara Zagora Startup Ecosystem". In the panel participated as well, the Mayor of Stara Zagora - Zhivko Todorov, Petko Petkov, Chairman of ZaraLab, Mikhail Bratov, Executive Director of Webstar and Marian Ignev, Executive Director of Sashido.io. The moderator was Dobromir Ivanov, Chairman of BESCO - the Bulgarian Start-up Association.

The Interreg Europe Secretariat is currently looking for a Communication Officer with a focus on digital outreach

The person should have good knowledge of, and a genuine interest in, the online environment. He/she will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of the programme's digital strategy, including setting up, running and evaluating social media campaigns. Project managing website development is another key task, as new features concerning the programme's website and the policy learning platform pages will be integrated. Ideally with experience communicating in a European, institutional, public policy arena, the person will propose and coordinate content publication across all digital channels using storytelling techniques.
