Opportunities to support sustainable development in the Stara Zagora region were discussed during a regional forum organized by REDA - Stara Zagora. The event aroused great interest among experts, institutions, business representatives and citizens who actively participated in the discussions and exchange of ideas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the first part of the forum, various funding opportunities for projects in the region were presented, as well as the Regional Energy Poverty Alleviation Plan. Participants discussed ideas and concrete initiatives aimed at supporting citizens and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the transition to a sustainable and environmentally friendly economy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Special attention was paid to the development and implementation of energy efficiency tools that can help reduce energy costs and improve the quality of life of the local community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event was held in partnership with the Union of Owners' Associations (UOA) and the Black Sea Energy Research Centre (BSERC) as part of the JUSTEM and COALition projects. The discussions were attended by representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works (MRDP), the Municipality of Stara Zagora, NGOs and business representatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second part of the forum was dedicated to the COALition workshop, which addressed the topic \"Regional Challenges and Entrepreneurship in the Renewable Energy Sector (RES)\". The presenter of the workshop was Assoc. Kosyo Stoychev from Sofia University \"St. Kliment Ohridski\", who presented practical and theoretical guidelines for work in the field of renewable energy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main challenges for the development of the renewable energy sector in Stara Zagora were discussed, as well as the ways in which entrepreneurs can take advantage of the available resources and opportunities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The workshop provided guidance on acquiring new skills and qualifications needed for a career in the rapidly growing renewable energy sector. Particular attention was paid to the region's potential to become a hub for innovation and investment in green energy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The forum showed that the Stara Zagora region has a strong interest in sustainable development and the transition to a greener and more modern economy.
