Sometimes change doesn't come with loud headlines, but with a quiet "turned on." That's the case in Radnevo and Galabovo - the charging stations are now up and running and slowly but surely changing the way we think about transportation.
Until recently, electric cars were more of an exception here. Not because there was no interest, but because the most important thing was missing – the certainty that there was a place to charge. And without that feeling, every trip becomes a risk calculation. It is this lack of infrastructure that keeps many people away from new technologies.
Now, however, the picture is changing. The new stations don't just make it easier for drivers - they open a door. For more movement, for better connectivity, for a new type of thinking.
This change is not accidental. It is happening thanks to the Stara Zagora Regional Economic Development Agency (SZ REDA) in partnership with the municipalities of Radnevo and Galabovo, within the framework of the RuralMED Mobility project. The project brings together partners from several European countries and aims to support the development of electric mobility in underserved areas by building infrastructure, testing new solutions and supporting local authorities.
There is also a deeper meaning. In a region associated for many years with traditional energy, forward-looking solutions are emerging. No unnecessary noise, no ostentation – just working infrastructure.
