How will this help in the farm?
The AgriExcel webinar focuses precisely on this practical side of innovation. In it, partners from Finland, Austria and Spain will share experience from regional meetings where farmers, businesses, universities, public institutions and support organisations do not simply listen to presentations, but discuss real needs, challenges and possible solutions.
The webinar will show how regional learning can become more useful when it is linked to real examples, practical demonstrations and the active involvement of the stakeholders themselves. A special focus will be placed on the role of study visits, on site demonstrations and meetings between farmers and innovators as a way to make new solutions easier to understand and easier to apply.
The event is part of the international project AgriExcel, co-financed by the Interreg Europe programme, which aims to accelerate the uptake of digital innovations in agriculture and the agrifood sector. SZ REDA is a project partner and the project’s communication manager.
Solutions that work
Partners from Finland, Austria and Spain will share how they organised their regional workshops, how they engaged local participants, and what lessons they learned from the process.
The topics will include:
- how to involve farmers, agrifood companies, universities and public institutions in a meaningful dialogue;
- how to understand the real needs of the sector, instead of simply talking about “innovation” in general;
- how study visits and demonstrations help technologies be seen in action;
- how experience from one region can be adapted to another;
- how co-learning can support the digital transformation of the agrifood sector.
Project AgriExcel is a part of programme Interreg Europe and is co-funded by the European Union
